I’d expect to get from Plummer what we’ve gotten so far, which is what he was at Utah.  A streaky dude who will have multi-game stretches where he shoots 25% and multi-game stretches where he shoots 50+%.

His Junior year at Utah he was shooting in the low-mid 30’s with 2 regular season games left and in those two plus a conference tourney game he went 21/35, finished at 42% on the season.

How effective he is for the team will depend on how quick Underwood gets him out when he’s not making shots, IMO.

Very fair.
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

Gee, mid 30s from three when he is going bad. How terrible. That is an effective FG percentage over 50%.
On this team where apparently nobody else can shoot, I think that will work pretty well.

What part about shooting 40% from three over two years in a P5 conference is so hard to comprehend?
Not a conf tourney, not a 3 game stretch. 2 years. Must have just been lucky.

Yeah, if he misses three in a row pull him. Got it. What should we do with Trent when he returns?
He is 0 for his last 15 on all shots.
May have fatal Alex Legionaires disease.

That’s kind of a straw man. I think a whole lot of him for what he is (a fantastic catch and shoot guy) but being 6’ and not really a creator I think it’ll be fairly easy for teams not named K State or Rio Grande Valley to take him away when we don’t have Trent or AC available as additional threats/distributors.

Teams will see tape and start game planning for him and throwing their best perimeter defender (likely with some length) at him. And he’s a liability on D right now but who isn’t.

And he hasn’t played a season in the B1G where the refs will let opposing guards grab and hold him all game.

I’d love to be wrong.

Yeah nobody comes within five feet of anyone and not allowed to make contact with another player in the PAC 12. League rule.

You do realize he was their second leading scorer, second most minutes per game, second most shots per game and only perimeter threat.
Who the fuck do you think they put on him, the team manager?

He is not Steph Curry, but he is by far our best perimeter threat on a team that completely sucks right now and unfortunately is going to suck for weeks by your own admission.

I guess it is crazy to think he might score 11-12 ppg.
What am thinking.

That is a good one. Hard to believe how bad he was.

I didn’t say he was lucky, I said he was streaky.  And all indications are that he is, including to get to that mid-30’s number to begin with.  He shot 27% from three in our first three games.  I think I spelled that out pretty clearly to be honest.

They all are. I agree with you. You live with it.
The guys who cannot shoot 40% are much worse.
It is just part of the game.

And Underwood can quit bitching about his defense. Nobody on the team guards right now.
Says they can't guard ball screens. Who is supposed to teach them?
This is how all Underwood teams are. We will start to play defense after a few ugly games in the BT.

I hate to be the kiss of death here but I was wrong on Plummer. Thought teams would key on him and shut him down. Not the case whatsoever. The other guards stepping up the last several games has kept the defense honest.

He is a having a season so far. He has great form, a quick release, and is really confident. The trio of Trent, Grandison, and Plummer really allows us to spread the floor and Kofi is getting his inside and passing better.  Hard to guard them all and hold them for an entire game. As we hoped coming in this could be a dangerous team. Maybe Hawkins will develop and take over the 4 spot.

Hope we keep it going and the defense gets better as we get into the conference grind.
