Tempo….*Agenda-driven board “realist.”

So you’re NOT a Bears fan it appears.

Are you even an Illini fan?!
Because FOX News told me so…

The ref was giving up 100 pounds and 35 years to an NFL player coming directly at him in pads. I’d have turned my body, too. Who had to shift direction to avoid a collision? Hint: Marsh. The taunting call is completely fair to take issue with. No one bats an eye at this if not for the questionable taunting call.

You'd have turned your body INTO the player, and thrown your arm backwards?  Why?  I'd think a huge dude running at you would make you move away from him, not directly into him.

This is exceedingly dumb.  Of course he's a Bears and Illini fan, he just wants the Bears' coach and GM fired so he wants them to lose, which colors his opinion on this completely.

Lol, the refs feet never moved and he made himself smaller, not bigger. You guys are seeing what you want to see. The ref barely moves. His feet move not at all. I’m definitely going to stay stationary if a giant man in pads is jogging right at me. Hilarious. Again, Marsh had to zigzag to his left to avoid a head on collision. The ref barely moves at all.

There’s probably some truth in that. But the ref 100% didn’t initiate contact with Marsh. He looked to be protecting himself to me. I wouldn’t say there were 5 calls, but definitely a couple. It happens.

Maybe try learning to line up correctly. Maybe don’t stand there and stare at the other team for 5-6 seconds after “‘making a play.” The Bears definitely got the short end, but they also did themselves no favors. I see similar shit from the Giants, Eagles, etc. all the time. Don’t put yourself in position to lose close games so regularly.

Off the top of my head, three roughing calls that got missed on Fields (including two on back to back plays), the phantom call that called back the Bears TD where the guy wasn't touched, the taunting call.  There's 5 right there without even looking back at the game.

And the ref absolutely initiated contact, how can you pretend otherwise?  Marsh was not going to touch him until the ref shifted his butt out and threw his left arm behind himself.

No one is talking about that if not for the highly questionable taunting call. Absolutely no one.

Like honestly, your take is that he's actually trying to AVOID being hit by moving directly into the player's path?  If you were trying to avoid contact don't you think you'd move your body away from the person, not directly in line with the direction they're moving?

Well yes, if the refs hadn't stolen the game most people probably wouldn't be talking about how they did.  Great point?

I’ve watched it 25x. Marsh has to change direction to avoid a head on collision because he was going right at the ref. The refs feet never even move.

Except when he sticks his ass in Marsh's way.

If you can say "the refs feet never even move", it's clear you haven't watched it once let alone 25 times.  They objectively move into the path the player is moving, there isn't room for debate on that.  He swings his left foot and left arm back directly into the player's path.

The only feasible rationale is "he had a brain cramp and accidentally moved into the player's path".  "He didn't move into the player's path" is a loser of an argument based on the video, because he objectively did.

If the roles were reversed Marsh would've absolutely been ejected for initiating contact with an official.

The shocking part is that people are still not suprised by the abject stupidity of JudgeJudy's posts.

But who will protect the 270 player in pads from the ref’s ever so slight ass movement?

Honest question:

if the flag was for staring down the bench as the ref claimed, why didn't he throw the flag when he was staring down the bench?  He waits until after the bump, when Marsh is halfway back across the field to the other sideline to throw the flag.  Don't get it.
