I know, but it would be a great time for a first! I don’t expect it though.

The ref who looked a little like Ernie Johnson, Jr. hated the Bear.

Refs didn’t help, but the Bears have themselves to blame. Can’t even line up correctly. Don’t wait till 2nd half to start being competitive.

Yes, it was a bad night for the refs, but my god are people overreacting. The Bears can’t even line up right.

Even with all the issues, the Bears deserved to win last night.  "It was a bad night for the refs" is the understatement of the NFL season.  They flat out cost the Bears that game.

At least a 7 point swing in a 2 point game between the phantom call that reversed a Bears TD and the absolutely unconscionable taunting call.

Anybody else notice that hip check?  Thought that was odd.  And, almost as if the official was hesitating throwing the flag, and then he made contact with Marsh, and the flag came out.

I think calling it a “hip check” is a bit of an exaggeration but the ref absolutely intentionally leans out to make contact with him.  Doesn’t throw the flag during the phantom “taunting” but waits until after he bumps him and the player’s halfway across the field back to the Bears sideline.

Marsh, being a journeyman practice squad guy, would be lucky to play in the league ever again if he’d intentionally leaned out to make contact with a ref.  There should be similar consequences for a ref that intentionally makes contact with a player.

No, they didn’t. They shot themsleves in the foot every bit as much as they were victimized by the refs. You had a couple of bad calls go against you on the road. Try lining up correctly and not playing like shit for 2.5 quarters.

The ref was giving up 100 pounds and 35 years to an NFL player coming directly at him in pads. I’d have turned my body, too. Who had to shift direction to avoid a collision? Hint: Marsh. The taunting call is completely fair to take issue with. No one bats an eye at this if not for the questionable taunting call.

There were at least 5 blatantly bad calls that went against the Bears including two that directly changed the score in a 2 point game.  The Bears made mistakes but absolutely deserved to win the game.  There’s a reason literally everyone, from Steelers and Packers fans to the most shameless of take artists, is talking about how badly the Bears got hosed today.

There’s zero chance you wouldn’t be outraged about this if you actually wanted the Bears to win.  That you wanted them to lose is the entire reason your view is what it is.

There’s probably some truth in that. But the ref 100% didn’t initiate contact with Marsh. He looked to be protecting himself to me. I wouldn’t say there were 5 calls, but definitely a couple. It happens.

Maybe try learning to line up correctly. Maybe don’t stand there and stare at the other team for 5-6 seconds after “‘making a play.” The Bears definitely got the short end, but they also did themselves no favors. I see similar shit from the Giants, Eagles, etc. all the time. Don’t put yourself in position to lose close games so regularly.

A good team finds a way to overcome what the Bears went through last night. The Bears are not a good team.

A good/disciplined team probably still wins that game. The Bears are neither. Spilt milk.

He sure as hell initiated contact with Marsh. If he was going to make that call, he had plenty of opportunities to do so before he bumped Marsh. The karate kick, walking over towards the Steeler sideline. C'mon Tempo! You may need to change the "objective board realist" part of your signature....
