NCAA Blows

I hope a new "Major" conference gets started and a tournament is invite only to the major universities that would like to be involved.

Take what little power is left and ALL of their $$$$ grabbing away and they can just disappear into a mid major authority which is what they are. Subjecting their powers to whom they see fit, at will, with no reasonable across the board applications...F*C& Off NCAA.

Illinois hammered again, and yes I know it's only 3 games, not the point.

They know they are soon to be irrelevant...they should be....what a joke once again!

So I guess it is okay to track and suspend a student for transgressions made literally months before he could have legally done it anyway, but the NCAA doesn't get involved with schools regarding coaches, mentors, molders of young people over DUI's...a legal issue, a moral issue, and one that can alter lives or worse?

Yea sounds about right... btw, all listed below are actually "just" within the last year in the ranks of NCAA athletic schools? No actions or involvement past university levels?

Jovon Bouknight - DUI - Demotion by school. UK Football

Greg Meyer - DUI - USM - Suspended without pay for 2 weeks, can't drive university vehicles? Is a fireable offense.

Ritch Price - DUI - Kansas baseball coach suspended by school for 2 weeks?

Courtney Steinbock - DUI - Arkansas womens tennis coach - Resigns position.

NOT DUI, however confirmed cheating - Scott Frost - Coaching Violations with Summer drills-NCAA is keeping close "eye" on a program that was proven to have ran practices to get better than other teams....last I checked outright cheating...nothing?

3 Game suspension for selling college issued gear, 3 game suspension for college DUI...what is wrong with our colleges, the ncaa, our coaches and our overall bar that is set for infractions by athletes/coaches nowadays?

Coaches DUIs and players getting cash are disciplined differently? Is the same organization disciplining both groups in these scenarios?

Coaches, players....everyone is getting cash-especially now. Point is that Illinois gets shit on once again, this time for such a ridiculous infraction, yet spends no time on more serious offenses.

If they don't have any leverage towards a DUI involvement than I guess this is meant as nothing:

NCAA - The National Collegiate Athletic Association is a member-led organization dedicated to the well-being and lifelong success of college athletes.

What well being does a student athlete have when their coaches get DUI's? vs what well being comes out of suspending an athlete for a transgression a month before it would have been okay?

They blow is all.

I'll take that as a long way of saying "No, they are not disciplined by the same organization."

So, is the NCAA's Okie State post-season ban relating to when Underwood was there or not?  TheBigPAMan is too lazy to use The Google.

I agree with their conclusions.
I did get some Envy and Pinata at Schnucks in Champaign which were good, sweet with crunch. I haven't seen them around here tho.
Still hiding behind innuendo and practicing the art of ommision.

I used to love the salad bar at Schnucks.
