So I guess it is okay to track and suspend a student for transgressions made literally months before he could have legally done it anyway, but the NCAA doesn't get involved with schools regarding coaches, mentors, molders of young people over DUI's...a legal issue, a moral issue, and one that can alter lives or worse?
Yea sounds about right... btw, all listed below are actually "just" within the last year in the ranks of NCAA athletic schools? No actions or involvement past university levels?
Jovon Bouknight - DUI - Demotion by school. UK Football
Greg Meyer - DUI - USM - Suspended without pay for 2 weeks, can't drive university vehicles? Is a fireable offense.
Ritch Price - DUI - Kansas baseball coach suspended by school for 2 weeks?
Courtney Steinbock - DUI - Arkansas womens tennis coach - Resigns position.
NOT DUI, however confirmed cheating - Scott Frost - Coaching Violations with Summer drills-NCAA is keeping close "eye" on a program that was proven to have ran practices to get better than other teams....last I checked outright cheating...nothing?
