The off ice stuff happened 11 years ago.

They completely screwed up by not immediately investigating claims of harassment by a coach towards a player. But it does not make sense that the 11th player taken in the draft is worried about making a team that everyone knew was going to have to shed players because Talon had put them in Cap Hell.

People like Stan Bowman, who enabled this behavior and did nothing about it was just allowed to resign; and then guys like Kane and Toews just last night called him a “good guy.”

Again, I was not "losing my mind" over anything Dan Bernstein said years ago; I was merely pointing out the cognitive dissonance between your views on Dan Bernstein and Mike Simgletary, et al.

Anyone paying attention knew what the claims were quite awhile ago when the suit was filed. What we did not know was what was the specific reaction by "upper management" to the harassment (as opposed to "assault", as it does not appear those claims were known at the time of the "meeting") claims.

I am not dismissing the scandal. The Hawks screwed up royal. People got hurt as a result (the intern the guy harassed and the high school kid).

The original misconduct occurred 11 years ago. Actually, under your Dan Bernstein fandom theory,  the Hawks should be fine now because they, finally, investigated and acknowledged and apologized for their misconduct.

My point is that something does not make sense with the 11th pick in the draft, with a clear lane to being on the roster, being scared that a video coach can keep him off the roster or get him on the roster. That does not make  the possibility of even a consensual relationship appropriate here and the Hawks should have taken action immediately. Just that the whole alleged "hook" of why this guy said he didn't say anything and went along does not make a lot of sense.

Did you even read the report? I'm guessing not. What had happened between Beach and Aldrich, including the threesome with the chick, had already occurred. The incident with the Hawks intern had not.

Should he have dissented from McDonough and Q? Obviously. And obviously easier said than done, not that that makes it right.

Had a kid who played hockey with one of his kids for a season. Seen him once or twice at social events since then. He's a good guy.

Where in the report says they knew about the alleged sexual assault at the time they decided to do nothing during the playoffs? The guy resigned as the ininvestigation was starting. One issue is they did not investigate it despite the guy quitting.

Half the stuff I've read, even in the papers, does not match the timeline in the report.
