I think the middle of this is telling as to how BU and potentially Calipari would have done actually the same thing as far as Podz is concerned.

Reality is Podz, played great in HS, no one could see him, a way underrated under the radar player obviously that would have been limited at either program and probably the results would have ended up being exactly as they are.

Oh I think they hear stuff they repeat from people on the fringes of staff and media.
How accurate it is always a question but you can say that about the crystal ball guys also.
Plenty of paid analysts had this kid going to Illinois.
It's entertaining. I know guys in the media and more often than not they never know for sure on a recruitment.

All I care about is getting a competitive team.

Who knows. I think it is clearly a miss and it was very public recruitment for weeks that Illinois was viewed as leader in.

Could be any number of things and staff did not get the job done.

Will see how they pivot here.

I have read that his trainer is buddies with the Utah coach. That being said, hard to believe that Illinois hasn't offered to outspend Utah. But maybe that is not what is important to the kid?
