I watched Bronny James on ESPN2. He stinks.  Weak handle, weak shooter, average quickness. He doesn’t stand out at all.  Lebron is on crack thinking he’s going to play in the NBA with his son.

Bronny would fit in the Underwood camp of recruiting all hype guys that have very little actual skill.  He’s another Jeff Jordan

Really don’t think Lebron will have that type of pull with any team.  Lakers were a lottery team last year and Lebron is only going to get worse.

Why bend over for a player that doesn’t make much difference?

I remember when Underwood recruited Jeff Jordan. He had a lot of hype, but had very little actual skill. Wasted scholarship. Marcus was bigger and a better athlete, but still not very skilled.

I assume you mean Weber. Underwood was at Kansas State in 2007.  :)
And Jordan was a walk on and enrolled with an academic scholarship of some sort.  Not sure he ever used an athletic scholarship before he left. Maybe an unused one for half of his soph year.

Let’s look at all the busts Underwood has recruited that has lots of hype, but if you actually looked at tape could tell they would suck.

Omar Payne-  listen to Werner hype this guy up all off-season.  Completely sucked

Austin Hutcherson-  seriously. A D3 guy got insane amount of hype and did nothing.

Curbelo-  lot of hype. Completely sucked.

Mark Smith-  Underwood claimed he was like Jason Kidd.  Ugh no.

Tevian Jones- lots of hype, sucked

Mark Alstork- sucked


I’m also pre-emptively adding Sky Clark, Mayer, Rodgers” to the “lots of incredible incoming hype but actually sucks” list.   If you look at tape, Sky Clark and Rodgers have serious flaws in their game.  Clark is too slow, and Rodgers can’t shoot/too short.  Both way overranked in HS.  Mayer just look at his stats.  He’s the Juan Pierre of basketball.  Low efficient actually sucks group. 

Bronny fits in the over-ranked group. Watch some games of his.  His only elite skill is jumping.  Nothing else.
