Yet somehow Underachiever built a 1 seed and overall #2 AP team by blowing up a languishing program and basically starting from scratch.

Yeah I have faith in this staff that they can do it again. Their strengths seem to be building teams and getting them to play together and at their strengths.

I get the wanting to believe they will bounce back off the floor again, and keep what they are building going, but the past two weeks have been really bad.

Of course- we should still be playing.
Losing recruits happens, but word was they were in great shape and locked up and this staff seems to know how to play the game. Losing all three of Enoch, TyTy, and Burnett was not good.
Then- Losing two key players on this year's team coming off of a nice season who were guaranteed major starting roles on what was probably a team that could make the tourney again next year was very unexpected.
Maybe Giorgi changes his mind.

Hopefully we will bounce back. Lets hope for good news in acquiring some more players.

Jordan Nesbitt is transferring from Memphis. I’m sure that name sounds familiar to all of you. I’m sure we are gonna be a major player in that.

TyTy isn’t out of the picture just yet it appears. They’ve just got real quiet.

Podz sounds like a lock and he’s announcing his decision to go somewhere on signing day (April 14 and 15)

Wasn't TyTy looking at Alabama now??

The Podz kid might turn out to be good. Can shoot.

I thought it was "money" that built this team. At least that was what ChicagoFan told us....

Well, I am going to guess that there were some incentives somewhere in the food chain along the way.
It's legal, and you need to pay to play.

unfortunately EVERYONE has a ton of transfers this year... I'd be interested in seeing a B1g team by team breakdown but I don't have time to goggle such things

Sure, but when you’re losing freshmen that started every single game that’s not a good sign.
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

Yeah, have to agree. They should have been babysitting him if it was well known there was tension.
I wondered about the culture all year with this group.

Last year there seemed to be a more blue collar team thing going.

Losing Giorgi is bigger loss. Maybe he will return.

Still nobody gets it 🤣🤣🤣.

They’ve been pumping up Adam Miller around here locally since he was in grade school as the next nba’er. The minute he left Manual and went up North to get corrupted I knew he was done. He’s good, but he’s now let people get in his head and everyone has their hands out I’m sure.

With that said I’m sure minutes we’re an issue. The guy was a borderline 5 star/top 25 guy coming in, so when he’s barely getting minutes, then yeah I’d transfer to, but Adam is only concerned about Adam at this point and not the program. He just pulling an Ayo trying to get his dollars up that he may never get and will go somewhere where someone will let him do whatever and shoot 100 times a game. I thought he was a baller, but I was wrong. He’s just another Chicago/Irvin train wreck.

And another thing is Underwood should be gone within the year unless he catches fire in the recruiting and transfer market over the next few months, but I suspect he’ll never live down the Loyola game. It’s not like he’s Bill Self and can just reload and survive it.

He not only managed to wake up the fan base this season to putting it to sleep early, then waking it up, then punching it in the nuts to finish it off. This was a lighting in a bottle moment that he managed to royally screw up. I don’t see how he survives the year to be honest.

Oh, and another thing. We live in that “political” climate now as well.

Gimme, gimme, gimme or I’ll go somewhere else where they gimme.

That’s the culture we live in now. College basketball in its purest form is now dead. The Schools and coaches are no longer in control. The Millenial players with Lebron dreams are.

But then of course there’s that off chance that the following happens.

Nobody is leaving or it’s just Ayo and Miller feels he won’t get his. I suspect there’s more here than just “Momma”.

If that Nil deal goes thru I dunno.

But with Miller I don’t consider him part of the Peoria pipeline history.

He threw that out the window for Morgan Park and the And 1 travel pay to play circuit.
