Here's really what Trump has wrought...

He's created a condition - along with DeSantis, that half the country is rooting for hurricanes, and half the country is rooting for wildfires.

DeSantis is frankly completely incompetent as a crisis manager, and now we have a scene where people who really want the GOP to finally crater through incompetence are willing to see Florida get completely creamed just to show how bad DeSantis is, in order to get rid of him and end the GOP story. This wasn't caused by DeSantis - this demonizing is all on Trump and his weird "rake the leaves" bs.

Eventually when it happens, the "libs" still send money to charity, but now we've screwed up the Climate so much they can look at it and say "meh - my money is going to Lahaina"
