Da'Monte gets a sociology degree.

Zima, TWood, Hutch & Slim Jake matriculate. No word on Trent.

Maybe I'll run into Mamador on the diving circuit. I've already collected a partial bag of Tide Pods and a similar bag of pods for the dishwasher.

It's an exciting time to be alive.

55" TCL Roku TV.

Let's see if I can get it up and running without the remote.

Download the Roku app to your phone. If you can turn it on and synch it, there is a remote function in the app.

I bought one of those at costco a few years back for like $250

not a bad TV at all for that price

if you find a universal remote that should do the trick as well

I had the regular Roku app on a couple of phones.

Previous dumpsters produced a Streaming Stick in, say, 2016. And you'll recall I found a Roku Express on the afternoon of the highly entertaining Giorgi Zoom/tOSU preview.

So I know a couple of things about using a Roku. The most important thing to know is that it sucks.

Anyway, the TCL Roku TV has its own app. I downloaded that, and also programmed a universal remote to get the thing on.

It has the notorious TCL Roku TV black screen problem. I got the menu up and running so I know the screen is intact, and looks good. But I don't need a big TV right now, so I offered it to a fellow freecycler who enjoys fixing electronics.

Heather just baked the salmon fillet I procured, along with another ten to fifteen pounds of frozen meats, from a Campustown dumpster. She says it turned out very well.

I wish CT were here.

Member how mad Champaign Transplant used to get at Rob about his dumpster diving? That was weird.

He would yell at Rob, then go cheat on his taxes and blame it on shitty accountants.  Lol, what a dickhead.
Did he ever say what business he was in? I feel like he'd be the first person to run to the media about a labor shortage because no one wants to suck his cock for 3 bucks.

I don’t think he ever said, but I might have missed it. All I know is that he’s a great leader of men, hugely successful, and can’t hide money from the IRS without getting caught.

He was also a self-proclaimed lover of rich, white women, but not a fan of the pixelated porn.

My kid just finished first year at Iowa.
Was working in food service handing out box lunches.
Ii was carryout shit this year due to Covid.
Still pretty impressive range of food.

I do recall when we did visit year before the food stations they had were crazy.
It was like a fcking cruise ship.

Yeah, I took my daughter on a visit to Augustana when she was college shopping, and holy shit! The food was amazing.

When they came around and told us lunch was almost over, and it was time for the next tour stuff, I was disappointed.  I wanted to just keep eating, lol

That's an expensive school.

Indeed.

She instead went to a different expensive school.  The one my wife works at, with full tuition remission.

My son is still there.

I don't get the allure.  It's expensive and in kind of a shitty part of town.  It has its nice areas, but overall, ugh.
