Here’s an analogy for Sean Miller. He’s like the stock that got really high, but took a dive. But buying it or holding may prove prudent.

We’ve all seen how “damaging” getting into trouble is. See: Pearl, Bruce. Pitino, Rick. Calipari, John. Sampson, Kelvin. Et al.
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

Rob does bring up an interesting point though. I guess it could be argued Bruce Weber fails at a level higher than Underwood achieves.

The sad part is this may actually prove to be true.

When did Weber ever assemble the base of a 1 seed caliber team? His greatest accomplishment with his own squad was lucking into a round of 8 appearance where he got beat handily by a lesser regarded Loyola team than the one that beat Illinois this year.

I’d much rather have the 2021 Illinois season and tourney and the 2018 KSU season and tourney but I could see why some would prefer the tourney run.

The number 1 seed and a B1G Tourney championship in a COVID season did not appear to mean much.

Not trying to pump up Weber, because he fucking sucked Imbecile Judy's dildo dick. But Underachiever so far can suck on Jobu's dick given he lost to fucking Loyola and looked like he had never coached a game in his life in so doing.

If so, then he's way overqualified to coach the Illini football program and should immediately be hired by DIA in that capacity.

Well, look at the bright side: the Illini played good defense that day holding Penn State to 38 points.

Well we kind of were sucking much of year until last stretch. Were out of Top 20 IIRC before we started playing defense and Ayo discovered how to dribble with his left hand for a month at least.
The jury is out on Hulka. 8 years- 5 tourney teams- only 3 wins.
Weber clearly has better career and no question is a better defensive coach.
Also no question he is a whiny fcking dork.
I prefer Hulka in charge, but he needs to produce.

I think he's done a pretty decent job turning around our dumpster fire of a program (do you not remember how bad we were under groce?) to one that won the B10 last year (and don't give me that bullshit about MeatChicken winning the regular season we all know thats bullshit)

We aren't on Scorat Bored. No one here is looking for the Second Coming of Weber.

Hulka is pretty average coach overall.
We recruited well in last three years.
Terrible in game adjustments guy.
If next year's team finishes in Top 25 and makes S16, that would be something that would be noteworthy.

Miller won a lot before the FBI found he was arranging illegal payments to rent the services of future NBA players.

A lot of these coaches get money indirectly to recruits- it is amazing how blatant some of these guys became.

He was just dumb enough to get caught. Illinois' recruiting looked really good for awhile there too before certain guys left.

Now that the rules have changed, let's see what happens.

Oh for the return of ChicagoFan. A combo of Tempo and ChicagoFan would light this place on fire.
