One of the interesting backstory items here is Chin and OA apparently can’t stand Gentry. And it’s a pretty big deal

I think we’ll be OK without Antigua, especially if Chin stays. But I think expectations have to be adjusted downward a little bit for the near future.

There’s a reason OA and Chin were sought after, they’re both really good at their jobs.

Even if OA goes to Kentucky it shows other potential assistants and players that we’re not fucking around either and we’re willing to pay to be a big time program.

Glad to see Whitman making a real effort to keep Antigua. Agreed, if Gentry is a problem with the rest of the staff axe him, see if you can steal Roger Powell from Gonzaga. That would be be a really nice assistant staff.

Whether or not Antigua comes back, I gotta hand it to Whitman (yes I did just call him Gunther-lite in another post, but I have to give props where it's due).

He's got the full court press on right now. Can't fault the man for that.

If it comes down to keeping OA/Chin or Gentry, well then.. see ya, Gentry and thank you for your service here
