No meeting scheduled with Miller and his agent (his mother) until after the Plummer announcement. I don’t believe that’s a coincidence

Idk about Kofi yet. The desire to leave is very much there, and the people around him will likely encourage it. The NBA feedback is going to very likely suck so hopefully the decisions are wise .

I do think the feedback for Kofi will be very mixed. Nice scoring numbers and rebounding numbers and improved his back to basket game, and he runs the court OK.
5 Assists in 31 games, no face up game at all, and inability to move his feet to guard in space very well is all a problem.
But it only takes one team to take a flyer and take him as FA and assign him to G League.

The problem is I don't think staying a year helps him that much. He will be in same boat this time next summer. I do think that he can improve his passing and a get some sort of face up game with a lot of work as a pro. Not sure about his agility, but could become passable.
He is not like Garza who is just lumbering as shit, and will always be lumbering.

I'm not really understanding us going after Plummer even if Miller doesn't return.  Our backcourt is already too small as it is with Frazier and Belo.

If he’s not starting he’s going to be the 1st guy off the bench. I don’t think a power conference guy with his resume would stick around in college to be a bench guy

I doubt he will come here to come off the bench. He is pretty decent shooter. I am guessing they want to play Hutcherson starter minutes or start -  and they certainly would not want to not start Hutcherson and have four guys (with Miller, Curbelo, Plummer and Trent) starting who are 6'2" and under and Payne.

If he commits they are done with Miller is my guess. Mrs. Miller will not want another shooter/scorer around especially if Trent is still out there.

Frazier comes back then we go Curbelo/Frazier/Plummer/Hutcherson/Payne with a bench of 3 freshmen wings, Grandison, and maybe DMW, and Hawkins.
No Frazier, we slot in Grandison or DMW, or one of frosh.
Or maybe Kofi does stay, then we get pretty good again.

Good information. I was wondering about the 13 limit being waived for the Covid year somehow.

The real issue is playing time at the 2/3 spots.
We have about 9 possible guys we can throw in there.
Frazier and a Plummer/Miller would have to start, so only spot in play is the 4 which I am guessing they would want Hutherrson to play so we were not midgets.

Of course Frazier and Miller and DMW and Plummer could all not be on roster and we are really young then and who knows who plays besides Hutcherson.

So was it Miller or Underwood who wanted the meeting after the Plummer decision?

I’d love it if Underwood said I wanna see what Plummer says first before I cater to you and your mom. He has Trent in the fold it sounds, so this might be his power play to show Miller we aren’t gonna accept that kind of attitude and here’s the repercussions of that.

Edit- Word is that Miller might be going to LSU if he doesn’t come back here. Whether that’s of his choosing or not is probably entirely up to what I stated above. I’m sure a lot of that is based on what Plummer does.

btw, that covid scholarship exemption apparently only applies to so-called super seniors who return to the same school.  Otherwise Plummer would not count?

Underwood wanted the meeting with his mother, as she was a source of a lot of frustration. I assumed he was delaying it, but actually sounds like she never agreed to it

Well, Underwood offered to keep a dialogue going? Give him credit. All he could do.

I am sure he is not going to beg anyone to come to play. Would not seem like his style based upon what he has said before about wanting kids who want to be there.

Kedric posted something yesterday that implied as such.

Sounds like Miller is gone.
