We were feeling good after 2005.  Shortly after, we got a fence post shoved up our collective asses.  And some people in this fanbase actually enjoyed it.

In 2005 a lot of people weren’t feeling good about the long term because we’d already watched two years of Weber’s recruiting futility and were aware of the emptying cupboard. That’s part of what made that season so special—it was abundantly clear that clownshoes wasn’t going to sustain that. That was our shot.

On the other hand, Underwood mostly built this team. We will see a big drop off next year without Ayo, Trent, DMW, and most likely Kofi. But we will still return plenty of experience and have good young players ready to step into starring roles. It kinda sounds like the staff is on the cusp of assembling a monster 2021 recruiting class. The primary facilities have been updated and there’s a huge project getting underway to make Ubben one of the best practice facilities in the nation. That’s a recipe for sustained success. 

Completely different situations.

Serious question. When you say monster 2021 recruiting class are talking the incoming class in fall?
Are you assuming we get the Creighton de commit and the TT kid who is leaving?
