Hope that post wasn’t aimed at Tempo because he won’t read it. Too many words.

I enjoyed it tho.
It's a team game.

We added a bouncy big in Payne which we desperately needed for help with ball screen defense.

We needed a proven 3 point shooter that can get his own shot and make contested threes. Plummer is a veteran who has done that in a P5 league that smoked the B1G in the tourney last year. He replaces Ace Puppy.

National sports writers have been in to see practices and think Hutcherson is the real deal. He had a very good, highly efficient exhibition the other night (admittedly against a horrible opponent). But he looked like a star on a team with two likely AAs. He’s probably the guy that most makes up for the loss of Ayo due to his length and athleticism.

The guards will have to replace Ayo’s production by committee. Frazier will step back into a lead scoring role whereas he took a backseat to Ayo the last few years. We already know he can do it. We saw it his freshman year and when Ayo went down last season.

DMW and Curbelo will almost certainly score more ppg than last year.

I don’t expect much from the freshmen other than spot minutes , garbage time or if we get into foul trouble.
Put this with enough depth to play 40 minutes of defense. I'm good.

Lol had the same thought as I was typing it. Has to be two small paragraphs or less for him to read it and Twitter length video for him to watch it.

What a game by Ayo tonight. Didn’t miss a shot. Highest +/- on the team and hit a clutch shot in the 4th to take the lead.

Highly convinced Ayo could contribute at this level sooner rather than later. Great to see. Bulls are kinda good…

Ayo does appear to be earning more meaningful time. The 6-6 game has to help his confidence and he hit 2 threes. His stroke looks a little better.
They play him off the ball which is key as he is never going to be a lead guard, so his TO's are down which is good.

He was struggling before the last game (5-20 overall) but maybe this will help him.
Questions were could he score a little bit at this level, not turn it over, shoot the three enough to keep them honest and open up the drive on closeouts, and guard anybody.

So far not bad for him.

So in other words, the questions were “could he play at this level?” I can’t imagine anyone thought they were going to have him playing with the ball in his hands at this point in his career.

Our staff and his people and he did. We were doing an NBA marketing tour for him all year. Part of the reason the Miller clan was pissed off. He wanted that also. The 2020 team was better overall as Feliz and Trent played on the ball more, Ayo off more in the second half. We were a really good team down the stretch.

He wanted to be seen as a combo guard at next level and is certainly working on his game to try and be able to do that
to increase his value. Does a lot of things fairly well. He works hard and he could stick around.
