I've been wondering as well.  Just a shorter bench now?

Really unclear about where Hawkins stands. I guess practice and game situations dictate. They do need another Big option for tourney.

Yeah I’m just not seeing why Hawkins hasn’t gotten more minutes for a large portion of the season. I can easily see why Lieb and Hamlin and BBV don’t get more minutes. Whenever they are on the floor there’s an immediate drop off. Hawkins misses some assignments and gets lost but he makes things happen. Seems like if he ever got to play free without getting yanked at his first mistake maybe he’d make some strides.

We should win against the buckeyes. But if Washington and Lidell are hot, and Kofi gets in foul trouble or we get cold shooting - it can be lost. One game at a time.

Playing at a super high level right now for sure. But every time I start feeling cocky I remember it was only a month ago we needed a comeback and OT to beat Nebraska and 2 weeks ago MSU straight up beat us. Literally. Or all the other nut punch moments of Illini fandom.

But yeah if these guys can keep playing at this level there are so many special stories still to be written in an already incredibly special season.

First off, Illinois and Ohio State are not playing football tomorrow. Second, Ayo and Kofi are going pro after this season; this is their last shot at a conference title. A #1 seed (likely #2 overall) in the NCAA Tournament is guaranteed with a win. So they're going to be very, very motivated. And let's be honest -- Illinois is bigger upfront & has better overall talent. So unless Tim Donaghy is one of the officials working the game or Illinois literally forgets to show up for tip-off, I don't see Ohio State pulling off an upset.

On Eleven Warriors, quite a few are hoping Holtmann uses Zed Key (6'-8", 245) to defend Kofi at times. He's about the biggest available player on the Buckeyes roster. I didn't have the heart to tell them if that happens it would probably be really, really ugly for Key and OSU.

He is kind of a loose cannon, I think.
I think he will either start to thrive here or transfer after next year. Hope he stays.
The off season will determine if Coach Hulka can break him.
Sometimes it doesn't work out and a kid can actually play. Tevian Jones left and is producing. I forget what his issue was here.

OSU has exceeded expectations all year. Holtmann is good coach. I think they are a Top 12 team/3 seed, but will end up a 2 for sure, and if they win tomorrow could take UM's spot.
We should win unless they shoot really well and Kofi gets in foul trouble early.

lol what a crybaby

Geez. What a fcking punk.
I wish him a nice career in shit lower level in Europe where they stiff him on his paycheck - after their second round exit.

Of course he is like 30 years old so they maybe will not want a chucker who can't guard an empty chair.

He was a punk ass yesterday during the pregame interview as well claiming Fran gets treated unfairly by the media.

I hope he returns next season.  He's sure to get the best of Belo by then. ;D
