Wisco takes care of the #21 gofs, 71-59.
It wasn't that close.

Minnesota looked like hot garbage against us. Seemed unfathomable they would beat Iowa and pummeled Sparty shortly after. But certainly not surprised they struggled @ Kohl.

I didn’t expect the home court to hold as much advantage as normal but it kinda seems it does. The talking heads usually attribute the home court advantage to the fan and student presence—and I’m sure that’s part of it—but it seems pretty clear that the travel, playing in foreign arenas and inherent foul disparities are the root issues and probably always have been.

I always have had difficulty sleeping when traveling, particularly the first night or two in a hotel. That alone messes up every aspect of my performance for a couple days minimum.

Can’t imagine trying to play high level basketball on the road in arenas these guys play in once a year tops under those conditions.

Iowa gets big win @ Rutgers.

The door to BIG title goes through them for now I think.

We're cutting through the bottom half of the conference like a hot knife through butter!

Michigan making the NUrds look like an intramural squad at a traditionally white college.

NU is not a good team. Have a couple players, but not a legit ranked team.
I am starting to wonder about all of these BIG teams being ranked.

Michigan is a balanced team. Look to be in top tier with Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Rutgers.

It’s basically Zaga and Baylor then everyone else. In the top 15 every other P5 team has at least one loss.

Kansas was ranked third and just got mauled on their home court by Texas.

Now, Texas looks pretty legit and their only loss is to Nova, but their game with Baylor was postponed so they could very well have two losses as well. And they haven’t beaten any other quality teams.

Tennessee was undefeated and looked like the Harlem Globetrotters @ Mizzou, then followed that up with a sputtering loss to pedestrian 5-3 Bama team.

B1G showed up pretty well in the B1G/ACC Challenge and in most other non conference matchups (other than Zaga and Baylor, that is). Wisconsin dropped one to Marquette in that bizarre ending but Marquette also beat Creighton who is ranked 11th (also with two losses)

Michigan State is not playing good basketball at this time and will likely drop out of the Top 25. But then again Michigan seems to be quite a bit better than expected and will be top 15 tomorrow. Maybe top 10.

Actually in the top 25 there aren’t many teams that haven’t either gotten their asses kicked once or lost to a lower ranked/unranked team.

I just think there’s a ton of parity in college BB in general. We knew the B1G was going to be a meat grinder and even the conference’s best teams would rack up some losses. What surprises me more is the game to game inconsistency and the unexpected drubbings across all conferences.

I think the lack of any normal game day atmosphere and the strange reality of travel/everything else with the pandemic play into it psychologically in ways that can’t be measured.

All good points.
Its a weird season. I think that teams will start to round into better form in next couple weeks.

Our team D is looking a little better.
