I grew up in Moline. My main office is in Peoria.

Iowa is like most midwest states (Illinois included) with a severe and angry growing rural and urban area divide.
Hell, I don't even like going to Menards in west Davenport. Parking lot is nothing but monster trucks with gun racks.
No mask rules in Iowa. Texas Roadhouse is packed almost every night. 12th highest Covid death rate in US.

Rutgers is the class of the league IMO. They lost to OSU with both Johnson and Young out of the game the last 8 minutes.  They play the best D in the conference and Harper Jr. Is a lottery pick.

MSU was overrated has hell from day 1.  Beating Duke got them vaulted 15 spots in the polls Duke  blows ass.

Illinois needs to shore up the defense. If we can match the defensive intensity this team displayed at the end of last season we will win the B10.

Hard to argue with this. I liked what I saw from our defense vs Indiana.
I think it comes down to Iowa, Illinois, Rutgers and 6 losses in league wins it.

Um, I live here and have seen no evidence of this at all.  "Severe and angry growing rural and urban area divde?"  Seriously, where is this coming from?  Who's angry, the country folk or the city folk?  "Monster trucks?"  Well if you want to see a lot of 4wd trucks, yes, you will find them at Menards or Farm & Fleet since contractors and farmers frequent there.  "Gun racks?"  GTFOOH.

Any country where 74 million people voted for a blatant  corrupt racist has major problems.

I'm sure I've told the story about the redneckmobile with the "Bomb Iraqis" bumper sticker.

That was a Meijer parking lot, circa 2004.

  The Trumpy guy, who sped around C-U in the big black pick-up with the Trump banners and American flags, turned out to be a friendly but mildly retarded small Towner who didn't realize that anybody might not love the Traitor in Chief - presumably because he'd never met anyone with that opinion. That made me a little sad for him because the finer print was a solicitation for business -hauling, lawn care, anything. He probably thought everyone would love to have his truck in their driveway.

Respectfully, I get out enough.  I don't see what you are talking about, at all.  What you describe is some redneck haven that I just don't think exists here.  (Now, if you want to talk about the Mississippi Valley Fair, that's another story)  I also don't see this urban/rural angry divide you are referencing.  I know I'm not angry with you city folk.  Live and let live, you do you, Scotty P.

And I know a lot of people that own a lot of guns, and none of them have a gun rack in their truck.
