Yeah these tourneys are a nice money grab with some exciting matchups but a two week quarantine heading into the NCAA tourney might have been a good idea. Guess we will see

I read an article that the Big10 had the strictest Covid standards. Dunno if it's true.
If true, we may be seeing evidence of that.

Maryland was really giving Michigan problems with their intensity until Michigan rallied after a couple iffy calls and sloppy turnovers seemed to put Maryland on their heels a bit.

Maryland just doesn’t have a guy to handle Dickinson 1 on 1 and Michigan moves and shoots the ball too well to double him. They’re gassed. Missed some bunnies due to Dickinson’s presence and have settled for a ton of early threes they can get any time...putting even more pressure on their defense.

Turgeon's version.
He contacted the conference office and he also spoke with Warren about their earlier head to head matchups. I'm guessing Turgeon doesn't appreciate how those games were handled.
He also mentioned his 34 years in coaching twice, and said all he told Howard was 'Don't talk to he's.
I wonder if he thinks maybe Michigan shouldnt have been declared champs and Howard shouldn't be COTY  ?

Lots of versions of origin of the ongoing bad blood.

Supposedly Dickinson was trash talking Turgeon in earlier games "that you shoudl have recruited me harder".

Of course then Howard states his grandmother had instructed him to not take any bullshit from anyone and that Turgeon came at him.

I don't quite get banner thing other than Turgeon allegedly yelled at UM "that the banner was coming down" at some point before. It had nothing to do with Whitnits' beef.

Turgeon had also complained earlier to league about something or other that he referenced and he is very disturbed by it after 34 years of coaching.

Suffice to say they don't like each other.
