Least kept secret from the portal in the past week or so....Blackwell will find out that Scheyer IS NOT a C-Ship winning coach. At least not imo! He can win a lot of games, due to the talent that Duke has always gotten, but he can't navigate the tournament or at least hasn't yet. 2015 with K was the last and he has had the helm since 2022, with the likes of Banchero, the Boozers, Flagg and others....Blackwell ain't better than all of them, the Boozer guard he is but no one else and Scheyer couldn't win with them.

Blackwell would have been nice but the staff did all they could there. We made continuity and retention a priority and we accomplished that. It’s good that we got Vaaks already instead of tossing all of our eggs into the Blackwell basket much like UCLA and Louisville did.

Excited to see what this group will look like with a whole summer together.

Pretty sure EVERYONE if told Wagler was going to lead us last year would have said something similar to this...worked out pretty good, and Vaaks and Coleman BOTH are going to be something for us imo!.
