Yet, Trump claimed he prevented a barrage of missiles from being lobbed just this weekend. We also apparently have "friends" who have to get their ships through the Straits too.
If they have no missiles or ability to strike, why are we settling for paying THEM off, allowing them to charge "fees" to go through the Straits, and kicking the nuclear discussion down the road (which they will not agree to)? Why aren't they paying us to stop?
Sounds like someone else is calling the shots here and it is not Tempo's Boogeyman.
It’s not a payoff, it’s an offer to rebuild their country with our allies money if they abide by our rules and stipulations.
There are 60 days to negotiate these things, none of this is a done deal, so I’m not sure why people are acting like this is the end point of it. They can flail anway and shoot a couple weak missiles off here and there if they want, but the fact of the matter is they’re pretty much helpless at this point.
Short of invading and occupying the country I’m not sure what more can be done. The only leverage they have is the strait and the upcoming midterms. Blocking their own primary export channel isn’t something they can sustain forever. The America Last progressives desperately want this to be an utter failure specifically for the midterms, which is why the media keeps portraying it as such. Not that hard to figure out.
But Trump knows this and gas will be cheap and the market through the roof (still) by then. So Democrats will have to find other ways to sabotage all the good that’s being done.
