C'mon, Tempo. You need to step it up here!

How come you never ask the guys who are signed up for fascism under a malignant narcissist to "step it up?"

For the first time ever, Hegseth fires Army Chief of Chaplins. He also happens to be black. Was he not on board with the white nationalist Christian agenda, I wonder?

Well isn't this surprising.

Within his one-year tenure, Hegseth has fired or sidelined more than two dozen senior military leaders, heavily targeting Black and female officers and elevating white men to leadership roles in their place.

'"In fact, reports suggest that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sold Trump on this war not because Iran was an imminent threat, but because its unprecedented weakness provided an opportunity to strike hard to effect regime change. Why else would Trump have closed his brief announcement at the start of the war by urging the Iranian people to rise up and overthrow the regime — a call echoed by Netanyahu in his own message?"

"The obvious winner is Russia, which will make billions of extra dollars each month as the price of oil rises and the U.S. waives sanctions against it. Ukraine loses as weapons that it needs are diverted to the Middle East. Europe loses as it faces crushing energy costs and Trump demands that NATO fight his war and threatens to pull out of the organization if it doesn’t. (It’s worth noting that NATO is a defensive alliance and did not fight in the wars in Korea, Vietnam or Iraq.) China gains as the U.S. gets mired in another Middle Eastern conflict and loses its focus on Asia. Meanwhile, Beijing’s massive investments in green technology shield it from many of the costs of this war, and it appears to the world as a more responsible, less disruptive superpower."

Stop sharing Iranian propaganda…

👁️

Attacking the source of an argument rather than the argument itself is generally a logical fallacy known as ad hominem (against the person) or the genetic fallacy. It occurs when someone ignores the substance of a claim and instead attacks the character, motive, or background of the person making it.

Key Aspects of Source-Attacking Fallacies:

*Ad Hominem (Abusive): A direct attack on a person's character, appearance, or personality to undermine their argument (e.g., "You're too young to understand this").

*Circumstantial Ad Hominem: Attacking a person's circumstances, such as their job, affiliations, or potential conflicts of interest, instead of their argument.

*Genetic Fallacy: Dismissing an argument based solely on its origin or source rather than its content.

*When It Is NOT a Fallacy: Criticizing a source is valid if the source's credibility, honesty, or expertise is directly relevant to the argument's veracity (e.g., questioning a witness's reliability in court).

Why It Is a Fallacy:
Attacking the source is a diversionary tactic used to avoid engaging with evidence. A person with poor character can still make a valid argument, and a reliable person can be wrong.

Says the guy who categorically refuses to read a news source right of Mother Jones. Same goes for Alum, who says that my sources (direct) suck. 🤡

That’s unfair. He’s just stupid. Stupid can be mistaken for all sorts of things  , but in the end let’s apply Occam’s razor

This is the richest of rich. Murph swoops in to defend Tempo (after Mn made him look dumb for Tempoing and doing all the dumb Tempo things) to reassure Tempo that Mn is the dumb one. Nice little circle jerk, boys.

This one is Chinese propaganda.

No mention that the US is a net exporter of oil? Or that China buys 80-90% of Iran’s oil exports at a steep discount because the west has them sanctioned?

China is temporarily insulated because they stockpiled a shitload of cheap Iranian oil leading up to this and have a shitload of cheap dirty coal. They’re about 2-3 months from being in a tough spot if this goes on. Yeah they’ll be able to get more oil from Russia but it will take a little time to evolve to that.

Simple for Mn/Custard.

Genocide - good/bad?

Trump won't actually perform this tonight, and will just claim that Iran "agreed" to something. If I'm Iran, I tell him to fuck right off, we ain't opening the fuckin' strait. Trump can say that they agreed to something but that won't change the increase in gas prices, and Trump will be fucked.

Or maybe if the guy is really insane and orders the power plants and bridges destroyed, then we get the real crisis when the Military refuses. The media should be playing clips from Nuremberg nonstop.... "We were just following orders"

Where is Christopher Walken when we need him?

If it were genocide he would have falttened the whole country by now. The term has officially lost any meaning. Well done, progressives.

If he actually destroys all of the power plants and bridges, in a country of 92 million, the death rate from starvation, lack of water, etc... could exceed the holocaust.

Thankfully it's taco tuesday so I'm not specifically worried.

U.S. President Donald Trump warned that a "whole civilization will die tonight" if Tehran does not meet his latest deadline for the Islamic Republic to agree to a deal that includes reopening the crucial Strait of Hormuz.

"Whole civilization" dying tonight - how exactly does that not dovetail with genocide? I know he'll "chicken out" but he at least made the hollow threat...

Just using rhetoric like that is insane. Trump has severely damaged our reputational standing in the world.
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.
