We may not get “full transparency,” but we do normally get a reason and an objective. I understand this isn’t quite on the same level as Iraq as far as a buildup, but this is way more than a simple strike or two, and this is against a country much more formidable and much larger than Iraq was. Glad you watched the video and saw some value in it. I’ll try to watch your video today, I should have some time this afternoon.
Formidable and larger sure, but more importantly, they control the Strait of Hormuz. That's 20% of the world's oil supply.
My kid is on a WW2 segment in US History, so I was watching Patton last night. Great film. George C Scott was a master. Patton would be completely useless in modern warfare. Unfortunately, instead of listening to our current Generals, we have a couple wannabe Pattons running the show.
To wit, the Iranians are also crazier and more organized than the Iraqis. They are going after soft targets that cause real issues, and they haven't even really gone after the big but very easy fish. Embassies are nothing. Attacking Dubai Airport is good creativity, but there are some other soft targets that really disrupt the US Economy, and not even that complicated - for example the tech sector in Haifa.
