When MrBrit got caught in Montana being a 20 year illegal we're told that MrBrit and MsBrit "planned" on returning to England.
They got to spend 6 weeks in detention instead of being on their 'planned' flight. 😥

The punishment for overstaying is removal. Why detain them for 6 weeks when they were already self deporting?

Does ICE get paid incentives?

A great concept. Break the laws of a country and offer your own penalty for doing it. smh

I will type more slowly..

The penalty for unlawful presence is removal. Self deportation is an available option. There are even incentives -- free tickets and cash. This saves both sides time and money

They were held 6 weeks and finally allowed to self deport..what was the point of holding them 6 weeks?

Karen Newton has also violated the laws of this country, and overstayed her visa waiver admission for almost 4 years. She was banned from the US for 10 years. The Biden administration granted her a tourist visa after her ban ended in 2023
