my understand is there are differing standards of proof. for example  reasonable doubt vs preponderance of evidence. or justice for the wealthy vs justice for the poor.

Other than Thomas Massie, seems nobody cares about the actual crime or victims. Just a cudgel to try and get “the other side” in trouble. The Biden administration tried to put Trump in jail for life but for some odd reason, unbeknownst to man, they didn't want to use the same evidence that the current DOJ has while the current DOJ may be engaged in a coverup.

If we were to remove the name Donald Trump and replace it with Barack Obama, the guy who:

•Has 26 sexual accusers, including a 13 year old
•was besties with Jeffrey Epstein for a decade
•said “just grab ‘em by the pussy, they let you do it when you’re famous”
•has five kids with three wives (and multiple documented affairs)
•paid a porn star hush money
•continuously made fun of women’s appearances
•found guilty of sexual assault in civil court

I’m betting we wouldn’t need nearly as much “evidence” to suggest wrongdoing.

Two things:

1) they probably (wrongly again) thought making him a convicted felon would make him unelectable

2) didn’t want to open up Pandora’s box because then they or a lot of their friends could go to jail.

Trump does not have a 13 year old sexual accuser.
The attorney filed for a voluntary dismissal days before the election that Hilary Clinton was going to win. With Clinton's expected victory, there would be no need to have any court filings or discovery.
Clinton didn't win tho, and the case was never refiled.

Other than that, which instance would be cause for you to say that Trump is a pedophile ?
