Jackson St vs ILLINI GAME THREAD

6:30 PM Jackson St vs ILLINI in Champaign

BTN is televising
29.5 is the spread
157.5 o/u

Jackson St. is predicted to finish 3rd in SWAC, 5 new freshman players, one the coaches son, 7 players over 6'6", no 7' and their tallest player 9.5 pts per game (28.6% FT-WOW), in only 104 minutes played.

We gang rebound, BU was pissed about the rebounding after the FL scrimmage....we run away with this. That said, the ILLINI have a way...of letting guys have career nights....so....

92 - 68 ILLINI win, but don't cover the spread.

No Andrej, Petrovic and Lee tonight.

Seems they are taking it easy with Andrej and Petrovic. Lee hurt his ankle just yesterday apparently so not sure how serious that is.

Where is the weather report for those traveling to/from the game? And the inside stadium temp?

3 PT barrage, hell of an % so far team wise.

Sub Par opponent is a VAST understatement

Rebounding highlighted after FL, as suspected, but still against a sub par, undermanned, undersized team.

Offense even though many rotations are being used, is very stagnant, if we play this year against better competition, and DO NOT shoot a high %, we will be in trouble.

Wagler is very smooth, Mirko over handles, and has good has he is, he is not aware of smaller guards reaching and getting ball or nearly getting it...better teams with better players will cause a lot of T/O's from him in the open court.

GREAT half, none the less, very good warmup for our team.

Agree about the offense very little cutting towards the rim or post feeds, they're just passing it around the arc and jacking 3s

Lost track of all the combinations already LOL.

BU has some problems for some other teams this year....IF we don't play JUST m2m and we do some zone and DON'T JUST shoot 3's every game.
