It's a Good Enough for me era.

I sat thru some miserable years and enjoyed the Mike White years.
10-2 with a Jan bowl win followed by what could be a 9-3 year and another Jan bowl isn't quite the same as going to Pasadena but it's plenty good for me.

Illinois won 9 games during my undergrad days, winning 5 of those my senior year.

the first game I went to after arriving at UIUC, we lost by 50 or so to Nebraska. I think we were down 14-0 inside of a minute

The first play of the game set the tone for the entire night in Nebraska’s 59-14 romp over Illinois. The first game I took my son to was that buttfucking we took by La Tech in 2012 lol. I got like 2nd row horseshoe tickets, was looking forward to showing the kid the Illini football experience.

La Tech came out from the jump and just fucked us dry. Place was quiet all night as we just got pumped. I remember my son looking at me a few times, with that look like "fuck is this?"

That team went 9-3 and won at Houston, at UVa and lost at home to TAM 59-57. They were over 50 points in 8 games.
