Disagree. The original argument was that if we win out we will not get in the cfp. Then it became plausible.
We were in the game at the half. We played a shitty 2nd half and now we play for bowl eligibility and position.

Again, not really true. I’ve been a bit more optimistic the last few years, yes; but as I pointed out, I was rarely optimistic say 2008-2022. I mocked Spark in 2018 for saying they could win 12 games and I was very wrong. I was right about the long term aspects of the Mack trade, though.

Passing up 11 or so teams without beating anyone ranked wasn’t a slam dunk recipe for getting into the playoffs. I conceded it was plausible, but that wasn’t enough for the angry horde of true believers.
