tOSU was #1. The Hoosiers may be the best team in the country.
At 10-2, things may very well depend on how other conferences play out. 4 Big10 teams went last year.

LOL right now according to CBS we are projected 23rd in the playoff rankings. We’re going to pass 11 other teams with our best wins rest of season being Northwestern and Washington? I suppose making the playoffs is plausible, but I think it’s far from a given even if we were to somehow win out.

As of right now, I think we have 0 wins against ranked teams. Unless they count ranking at the time of the win, which I don’t believe they do.

The fact our only losses would be against 1 and 2 would be impressive, but we’d still likely have 0 top 25 wins and a 53 point loss. Seems they’d probably be able to find 12 teams more deserving and we could easily fall 2-3 spots short.

Duke who was ranked. We had a top-10 strength of schedule so far. Tempo, tell me how Notre Dame is so high and have two losses?! The only reason the SEC gets so many “ranked wins” is because in the preseason they put every team in the top-25 to build that narrative in the system. It’s rigged…

Some of them would probably have to to lose two games. Again, 0 top 25 wins and a 53 point loss would far from a surety IMO. Plus, we could get leapfrogged.

Do they take into account the ranking at the time, or end of season? I’d think end of season. A win against Penn State in Sept would look much better than it would in late October, for example.
