How Illinois would it be that Lovie takes retirement and we pay an astronomical amount for Sumlin to take over. So LOLinois.

If it comes down to hiring Sumlin or keeping Smith, keep Smith. Sumlin has not been a good head coach at a P5 program. Can't believe some on HQ wanted him hired a while back. 

UofA was 0-5 this season and was slaughtered at home by rival ASU, 7-70. The Sun Devils had been winless (0-2) before crushing the Wildcats. Much like during his time as Texas A&M head coach, each season at Arizona Sumlin's teams had the same or worse record than the previous year (5-7, 4-8, 0-5).
