Morez is in the portal, rumor has it of coaching issues possibly, we may lose many more. As good a time as any to start separate thread for next year possibilities.

KJ gone, Riley maybe, Tomi ? (better be back now for sure), White? DGL? (annual speculation), Humrichous (staying now that Rez is gone?-gets another year?), Boswell is our light at the end of the tunnel right now.

Man this looks so much worse than even last year did.

2 years in a row, we lose a 6'8/6'9 guy 225 pounds or so with promise.

Hansberry/Johnson, coincidence?
Anderson in town 3 days before coincidence?
Starting mostly completely over again coincidence?

C'mon, I find it hard to believe that Whitman doesn't have concerns over this? I know BU gets the leeway, but starting over every year cannot be sustainable for even making the tourney can it?

NIL is going crazy as far as $$$ if Hawkins and others can get 2 MIL per, that said, the system has been way to profitable to the schools and the coaches in the past to hold it against any player to get their bag, it might be the only one they can get ever? Make it if you can, nothing in life is promised.

For a diehard ILLINI fan that sees both the good and the bad, it still sucks for our FANDOM for sure.

I mean Arkansas didn't have a team until a few weeks before the season and they made it to the sweet 16
Look at Indiana, they have zero players left, lol

its just the nature of the beast now.  kinda lame but it is what it is.

JFC No it doesn’t. This year we brought back DGL. If we bring back ANY of Tomi, Boswell, Ty, Morez, Tre, etc we are better off than we were a year ago.

It's all so stupid. Riley will be like a 25-35 pick and with one more year could be top 10. KJ going top ten is crazy as he's shown he doesn't have good court vision and passing skills.

A team with Morez, Riley, White, and a few others even if TI and KJ leave is a top 10-15 team. Why transfer out and end up like Adam Miller?? 

Stay in Champaign and create something.

Reddit as usual providing some entertainment.  I do agree we should have seen a lot more Morez and a lot less Ben H. TI and Morez should have both been starting all year and playing together, clearly the way this season went anything like that could have been better.

Mr Basketball in Illinois, from the Chicago area, and minutes were an issue. Ugh. This one stings I am a big Morez fan.
