Maybe Johnson and the Bears think Roschon is capable of carrying a consistent load. It always chapped my ass the spent a 4th round pick on him (not insignificant for a RB these days) and basically rarely used him. I’ll bet he doesn’t have a single 10 carry game minus someone out with an injury.
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

I couldn’t understand why they wouldn’t use him more last year when there was nothing to lose. Why not see if he’s actually any good?

He had two 10 carry (exactly) games last year. One was a blowout win and the other was close loss to GB. Only averaged 2.7 YPC but he also usually only got the ball at the goal line or short yardage situations.

It’s ok not to post every thought that enters your head. In fact, you might want to filter about 90% of it out.

Just because the dart stuck to the board doesn’t mean it was a good throw.

Got a kicker.  Hope he can kick 50+ yard FGs without hitting the backs of Bear linemen.

Our current guy will live in Bear lore forever for kicking the winner at Lambeau to move us from 7th to 10th in the draft.

Good thing. Taking that TE 7th would have been an even worse pick.

To sum up the fishwrap writer's opinion on the chase to catch Detroit.

The Bears have been, in his words, a hot mess and need to stop being, in his words, a hot mess.
They need a LT. So what do they do ? They draft a position player with their 1st pick to go with a QB who doesn't throw to that position. And the guy they drafted is the 2nd best TE in the draft.

The Vikings draft an OL because, like the Bears, they need to protect the young QB.

The Packers ? They draft a WR in hopes that they won't be the team that drops a lot of passes.

Affected us in later rounds, too.

The Bears don’t “need” a LT. They’ve had a pretty serviceable one who gets less “help” than virtually any LT in the league. Upgrade eventually to an all-world LT? Sure, who wouldn’t like that. But they don’t “need” LT.

Also, would you have them draft the 4th OT off the board at 10 in a draft that doesn’t have a single consensus day one starting LT in the draft? I’d probably rather have the 1st choice at another position, one that the new coach obviously values.

But yeah, would be nice if Caleb learns to throw to TEs. Having said that, this guy isn’t a “traditional” TE.

Based on this, it actually sounds like they need a LT.
