my skill set is different from Kmet's maybe they should have drafted me

Probably.

Kyle Long loves the pick “He’s gonna be an immediate star in the National Football League.”

2.69 yards per route run (best of any TE or WR according to Clay Harbor) and 92.6 PFF rating in red zone (highest among TEs). “Helps make the same things look different. Only 20 years old, nasty route runner, mismatch nightmare.”

Loveland is a professed Christian, now  PAMan really hates the pick!

Things I like about the 1st round:

just glad the pick wasn’t Genty or OL. I didn’t want to spend a top 10 pick on an OLineman if there was no consensus day 1 starting LT (most people project Campbell to kick inside). Didn’t feel like the value was there at LT.

We will get a chance to see Ben Johnson’s offense hit the ground running as he added to the OL in free agency and got a major chess piece last night.

Glad they didn’t trade up.

Considering what was on the board, I give the pick a B+.

What I don’t like about the 1st round:

Really wanted a DT. Given Graham was not an option I’d have loved to see a trade down. Would have settled for Grant at 10 even if the value wasn’t really there. Nolan also intrigued me. Would have been nice to get a good DT and pick up another day 2 pick. Not to be.

Having used the 1st pick on a luxury item, it puts some pressure on them to get the next 3-4 picks right IMO. DL, RB, Safety, OL all priorities. Might be hard to pass on a CB if the value is real high. Might have to wait until next year to bolster the OL with a high pick or two.

They just added 3 well paid free agents. Don’t panic. No one they draft today or even yesterday was likely to start. They also have a redshirt sophomore with high upside who hopefully will get a training camp in this year.

They have a guy from the Falcon, who aren't exactly known for their lines, and a guy KC apparently did not want anymore after they Eagle pushed their OL around.

#1 FA Center and All-Pro Guard not good enough for the PAMan.
