I had deep reservations about Caleb, his final college season was nothing special and several other quarterbacks seemed to gain on or pass him. I guess I’ll take an L for suggesting that if they were going to draft Williams first they would’ve been better off trading down and just keeping Bustin for cheap and spending the money on pieces to put around him. But it does seem that there are a couple of guys that did seem to pass Caleb in college that have been better pros so far. So I wasn’t totally wrong. The Bears are damn lucky they didn’t get Williams killed last year with that fucking pathetic excuse for an offensive line.

Give Q97 his props!

I was on him too. Although I thought 14 was a tad high. I definitely would have taken him if he was still there late 1st/2nd round.

Caleb at the moment is at best the 5th best quarterback to come out of the 2024 and 2025 drafts. I’d put Dart ahead of him right now. I still think Caleb can be at or near the top, but his curve is slower than I hoped/expected.

About a third of those sacks were on him. But yeah, they were bad.

I think Caleb will start to look a lot better going forward if the run game can continue to work like it has the past 2 weeks.

That’ll help, but his accuracy, especially downfield is what needs work.

Yeah that has definitely been an issue for sure, that can be learned though in time.  He does throw some dimes when he gets good protection but other qbs in his class are definitely ahead of him in that regard.

Definitely. He has a ways to go, but he seems to be progressing. And if he sucks, he sucks. They'll go a different direction. It's the shitty fucking Bears. It's not like they haven't had quarterback problems.

But to say he's the worst in his draft class is fucking stupid. Especially when JJ McCarthy and Michael Penis Jr. exist.

Mitch never learned it. It’s why he’s a backup.
