If 4,500 yards 29 TDs 7 INTs a Pro Bowl and winning record = “lost” for Caleb in year 2 sign me up.

Again, he helped turn a losing franchise around in a season and a half, made a pro bowl and put up very respectable numbers. Must not have been “that lost.”

I guess you do not trust whoever claimed that...no one said he was lost, just that it took him 3 years to figure it all out.

I am not HAL 9000 or Nichi, but here is what the AI has to say!

Quote
AI Overview
Some argue that it took Jared Goff three years to fully understand the Lions' offense, pointing to his improvement in statistics over his first few seasons with the team.
Specifically, his passing yards have increased consistently:
2021: 3,245 passing yards.
2022: 4,438 passing yards.
2023: 4,575 passing yards.
2024: 4,629 passing yards.
This period of improvement also coincided with Ben Johnson taking over as the offensive coordinator in 2022. Under Johnson, Goff's passer rating, yards per attempt, and first down rate all showed marked improvement compared to his first season in Detroit (2021) without Johnson as the play-caller.
However, it's worth noting that Goff also had success in Los Angeles before joining the Lions, leading the Rams to a Super Bowl appearance. Some argue that his initial struggles in Detroit were more related to the team's rebuilding phase and adjusting to a new system, rather than a fundamental lack of understanding.
Ultimately, while Goff's performance has undoubtedly improved over time with the Lions, crediting that solely to understanding the offense in his third year might be an oversimplification, as multiple factors likely contributed to his development and success within the team.

I heard the Bears did a lot of good things tonight but it was against the Bills back ups. Don’t start planning any parades yet.

Not going anywhere if they don’t find a LT!

The Bears looked really good tonight. As did Caleb. I’d also remind everyone they went undefeated in the preseason last year.

If the line can be competent (it should be) and Caleb can get the ball out on time and mostly accurately, he’s going to put up some huge numbers because this WR/TE corps is extremely talented and they have a coach that knows how to draw up and call plays. I think Zaccheus is a sneaky good player, and if he’s your #5/6 option you’ve got something cooking.

Loveland is going to be a superstar IMO.

tl:dr version of Tempo: The Bears could be really good, but it wouldn't surprise him if they were just ok.
