Ben Wilson ReVisit

Just wanted to share:

Met a lady today that was in same class as Ben Wilson, stated she knew him personally, he was literally the nicest kid at Simeon.

That incident was a "initial" shock/culture change to the student body at Simeon...a prelude to everyday issues today, that wasn't prevalent there day to day while she was in school. There were issues growing up, but nothing as serious and shattering up until that date....that incident change the landscape at Simeon and the surrounding area for students.

RIP Benji, https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/6/62/Benji_Wilson_Basketball.jpg/220px-Benji_Wilson_Basketball.jpg

It was a nice memory conversation about a kid that I personally never met, but did follow as far as basketball....a tragedy to say the least.
"We have a great bunch of outside shooters. Unfortunately, all our games are played indoors."

Spent probably an hour looking for his grave at Oak Woods one day. Found several other prominent graves, but could not find Benji. He’s the only grave I’ve looked for in the Chicago area that I couldn’t find.
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

I remember the news of his death well. I was in high school and it was quite a shock. Father Leake spoke of it in front of the entire school.
