And that to get Johnson, they had to neuter Poles by giving Johnson personnel control.

LOL JFC the narratives out of this guy. You’re not going to sign a rookie HC to one of the richest deals among HCs then tell him to “sit the fuck down while I draft.” It’s completely moronic to think the hottest HC coaching candidate in the last several cycles wouldn’t have significant input into his first draft.

What the NarrativeMan doesn’t seem to understand is that if Poles were “neuteredl” or “replaced” by Johnson, there would be zero incentive to extend Poles AFTER signing Johnson. Anyone with basic fucking common sense would understand this.
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

If what the NarrativeMan says were true, they’d have brought in a Ben Johnson stooge to be “GM.” They would not have extended Poles.

Having said that, of course Ben Johnson is going to have significant input into who comes here/is drafted. Would be moronic not to allow him to build the team in his vision.

You don’t think Eberflus was behind Kyler Gordon/Jaquan Brisker, the first two picks of the Eberflus era? “Poles was just an Eberflus stooge!”

You don’t hire a Ben Johnson just to tell him “standby while I go draft.” that’s just completely fucking moronic

Is Ben Johnson an empowered head coach? Of course! But it doesn’t mean the GM they just extended is his stooge. What it means is that it’s a true partnership..

Here’s a perfect analogy; it would be like Donald Trump being successful in his January 6 coup, only to then install Joe Biden as his co-president.

For the record, the narrative man has taken up the narrative that Tyson Bagent was extended with the idea that he could take Caleb Williams‘s place. The PAman is entering Alex Jones territory.

The PAMan should start his own podcast, MisinfoWars.

The old standby. Resort to the memes when you know you’ve got nuthin’ else.

Speaking of Robb, I usually check in on his Twitter when he occasionally gets brought up here. Looks like he’s still talking about COVID and tweeting grievances at businesses daily.

The pandemic broke the guy.
