But again, thanks for bumping the thread and proving I was right and you were wrong! “No decent head coaching candidate would want the Bears job!” - ThePAMan

The job was so good they had to give him personnel power and neuter the GM.

The defense was still like 12th in points allowed (and respectable in most metrics). And that was with missing two key players much of the season. The defense underperformed a bit, but wasn’t what was killing the Bears last year.

LOL. The defense sucked. Sweat has been lazy since getting paid.

Hopefully that all gets turned around under the new regime.

Nonetheless, glad to see the Washington Generals are always up for a game.

They’re not going to extend a GM just so they neuter him. That’s a wild take even for you.

Best position ever! If you exclude the shitty coaching and OL!

Yet the coaching and OL were MORE than good enough for Fields. Hypocrisy at its finest.

LOL. The defense sucked.

The stats say there were average to a little above average.

13th in total defense and 12th in points allowed. Not dominant but not “sucking” either. Billings and Brisker were big losses.

Wrong again.

I actually said that the OL was bad and the coaching was bad at that time too. I said that Fields made everything worse

Abother L for the HQ2 Washington Generals.

Literally every time I said the OL was bad you blamed Fields. Probably without exception. Never once heard you blame Caleb for taking too many sacks. You expected Fields to perform miracles with a shit roster in his first full year as starter. I literally remember you complaining that a team purposefully stripped to the bones wasn’t in the playoff hunt. Now you’re saying Caleb is basically a rookie again and that it’s going to take Ben Johnson a while to fix things. Two completely different levels of expectation based on who we’re talking about. You are a hypocrite personified.

Not enough depth is on your guy Poles

Had a lot of young players because they were in year 2 of a complete rebuild. Poles clearly hasn’t been perfect, but we had some young players and not a lot of teams can replace two of their best starters and not miss a beat. It was a weird year, the team was mentally defeated.

You are making shit up. I said the OL stunk and Fields was making them look even worse.

And they were in the playoff hunt, but Fields and Your Guy Eberlose took care of that.

Undortunately for the Bear, Fields sucking ass, Eberlose being incompetent (despite there allegedly being reasons ro bring him back- talk about all-time moronic takes), and the OL being awful could all happen simultaneously and independent of each other. This really shouldn't be that hard to comprehend, but we all know The COVID did something to you.

They were mentally defeated.... Now that is a narrative that your guy Monty Sweat could agree with while standing on the sidelines watching the defense go down in flames...

I was told that "tanking" and the setting of franchise records for consecutive losses doesn't impact the players.
