"...spent 8+1⁄2 years (43% of her sentence) in prison before being released in mid-2021 to serve the remainder of her sentence in home confinement. Her release date was listed as October 20, 2028.  On December 12, 2024, Crundwell's sentence was commuted by President Joe Biden."

Presumably Biden has no idea who this person even is. At least Trump focused on pardoning his buddies.

It appears Michael Conahan served 9 years of a 17 1/2 year sentence in prison. In 2020, he was released to home confinement. He was apparently scheduled for full release in 2026. It looks like Biden commuted less than 2 years of his house arrest.

She basically blew it on horses and farm property. I know her brother and his family pretty well and went to their lavish 30th anniversary party at the horse facility she built outside of Dixon. This was a few years before the whole thing got blown open. These folks ostensibly had their money from having the only garbage truck business in town. Lots of rumors went around after the fact that he was involved and she’d been funneling money to him to buy farm land and such. The brother sold the business I believe and to my knowledge never got in any trouble. But I’ve fallen out of touch with them, last time I saw them was at the Sandwich Fair probably 10 years ago. I believe the city recovered most of the money through sales of assets and whatnot.

Appears one of the "sales of assets" was the sale of the ranch she was living on to her brother. That's where she's had home confinement since her 2021 COVID release to home confinement, so if one connects your dot to that dot, he used the stolen money she funneled to him and gave it back to the City to buy the asset - solid money laundering.

Still not my cup of tea to trade 8 years in the can in order to party for 20. I'm better with 28 average years not in prison.
