Well, there are no JFKs unfortunately; but I’d take Whitmer, Sanders, Newsom, Warren, or Pritzker. Maybe there’s someone laying in the weeds who’d be palatable. There are no slam dunks at this time, but I’d probably take any of these over Biden.

None of them are beating Trump.

Pritzker is delusional if he thinks he can run for President. That Inspector General report on his toilet real estate taxes scam would absolutely destroy him. He should be in jail right now.

I don’t think Trump is as popular as you think he is. Sure, he’s got a very devoted base, but he is not a broadly popular candidate.

Trump is polling at what, 50-60% in the GOP? The problem for him is that the other 40-50% in large part consider Trump to be a disaster area and really do not want him to win the primary, at all. It's not that they *prefer* DeSantis or Haley over Trump a little bit, they are desperately trying to find a way to not have Trump be the standard bearer.

I did not say he is unbeatable. The fact is he has never won the popular vote. But, as we all know, or should know by now, the Electoral College skews in his, and the GOP's, favor. That is THE problem.

Yes, people really hate Trump. But, we all know where they live: in urban and even more than a few suburban areas. They are not living in Montana, SD, ND, NE, you get the picture.

We saw this movie in 2016. The fucking shit head, moronic Bernie Bros. did not like Hitlery and did not show up to vote. Now we have the fucking shit head, moronic alleged "progressives" causing small numbers of Blacks and Hispanics to move to the GOP plus, apparently, a bunch of people, who, for whatever reason, claim they do not like Biden or Trump and may not vote. If turnout is down, Biden loses.  If your guy RFK, Jr. pulls enough votes, Biden loses. If Cornell West pulls enough votes, Biden loses.

While the economy looks like we are line for a soft landing, we (meaning in my line of business) are seeing some cracks starting (just like the Fed wants!).  Bankruptcy lawyers have waited for more than 3 years to be busy. If they start getting busy in the next 12 months, Joe Biden is completely fucked and loses in an Electoral College landslide, even if Trump is in jail.

As for Pritzker, he got off easy in the Illinois media for the toilet stuff. We all know what is going to happen if he goes national: It will be 24/7 "multi-millionaire rich fat fuck cheats on taxes by ripping out toilets, violated wire and mail fraud laws in process, why isn't he in jail?"

I think the basic gist is both choices suck. I know the polling looks worse than it should, but as of right now I’m having a hard time believing Trump could get re-elected. I’ll re-examine that once we start seeing primaries.
