Nebraska (3-0) completed its nonconference slate with a 34-3 win over Northern Iowa on Saturday. The Cornhuskers held the Panthers scoreless over the final three quarters en route to the 31-point victory. This week marks the final contest of Nebraska's season-opening four-game homestand.

They do have a freshman qb that hasn't faced a good D yet. Our Db's are pretty good at disguising coverage too. Looking forward to a fun game! I L L!

Will be a very difficult and loud environment to play in. This may be the most jacked up a Nebraska fanbase has been in last years or more. This game will really show where we stack up.

I like our defense. Our linebackers and defensive backfield has been lights out this season. Front 4 has struggled at stopping the interior run. We are one of the smallest defensive fronts in D1.

Offensively, Luke, Bryant and Franklin are near unstoppable. But that's only if Luke has time to throw. He's much better throwing from within the pocket vs. outside and on the run. He is an effective scrambler, just not a run and throw guy. At least up to now.

We can't run the ball for shit. Our guards and tackles are way too slow when they pull, which is in every run play. The result is everything gets blown up in the backfield. I don't know if this is a fixable issue. We are decent at pass blocking, but none of our lineman have any quickness what so ever which is impeding our running attack.

Game is pretty straight forward. If we can stop Nebraska's run and make fanboy Mahomes throw it, Nebraska will be in trouble. Freshman QB forced to throw into our secondary, I like that match-up.

Offensively we are likely going to have to use the pass to set up the run, because it won't be the other way around. We haven't established a run game yet this season. Anything we have done this year with any success has been after we have already established flow with our passing game.

Nebraska's defense is more physical up front than Illinois so we will want to stretch the field wear them down then go at right at them towards the end. This is gonna be a tough game, but if Illinois wins this game they will establish themselves as a legitimate playoff contender for the remainder of the season.

This will probably be a little like the Kansas game with the Illini on the wrong end of the outcome. Illinois can be an 8 win football team this year, beat Nebraska maybe something special brewing?

If the illini do win the only 2 games we will not be favored in will be Penn State and Oregon. We'll likely be favored in the rest.

If we win, which i dont think we will. We're prolly an 8 win team this year
