It’s been reported by more than a couple of sources that Caleb hasn’t put in the preparation needed to be successful at a high level. King said he was told by someone in the know that Caleb called several plays wrong and that it’s been an issue. Wearing a wristband is fine. Switching to one several games into the season would seem to imply there was an issue.

Less convincing than the case Donald Trump is a sexual predator, I’ll give you that: but plenty of meat on that bone.

A bunch of shit has been said on both sides the past year. I think I’m gonna let this play out a little bit before making any definitive statements… 😉
Because FOX News told me so…

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams holds the NFL record for the highest passing touchdown to interception (TD/INT) ratio for a player's first 1,000 career attempts.
Record Details

TD/INT Ratio: His ratio through his first 1,000 attempts was 3.4 (with 34 passing touchdowns and only 10 interceptions).

Fewest Interceptions: He also holds the NFL record for the fewest interceptions in a player's first 1,000 career passing attempts, with just 12 total interceptions.

Apparently he doesn't suck that bad

would like to see his comp% be better than 2nd worst in the league though... guess there's room for improvement!

I’m mostly happy with how he’s coming along, but this stat is misleading. His INT rate is low because he wasn’t pushing the ball downfield and he leads the NFL in uncatchable balls (by a big margin) over the last two years. I’d be a lot more impressed if he were fitting it into
tight spots reguarly and among the league leaders in TD passes. He’s not.

Having said that, I’m pretty encouraged with his growth in the intangible areas. Minus the wow throw here and there he’s still got a lot of work to do get where he can be as a passer.

"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

Ball security has been a surprise plus for him. He came into the NFL college football’s leading fumbler over 3 years.

I’m fine with him not trying to fit balls in a tight spot this first two years and therefore not having a lot of interceptions. If I were Ben Johnson I’d be telling him to make safe throws and the O line to keep him off his back. Hero ball will lose this team more games that it wins right now. Year two under Johnson with this squad? Yeah I think there will be an expectation for him to take a sizable step forward.

Yeah as the offense becomes more second nature to him I expect his rhythm and accuracy to improve substantially

I'm hoping he's on a Josh Allen type curve with his accuracy.

Don’t really disagree. Especially while the team is winning.

Interesting stats that reinforce my thoughts that Williams is making a crappy (not as horrendous as last year) OL look better than they are....

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/47514251/nfl-playoffs-myth-busters-14-teams-stats-trends-2026.

Williams led the NFL with 40 throwaways, which obviously affect completion percentages but aren't necessarily a bad thing. Five of the top seven completion percentage games of his season actually came in Bears losses, while they won nine of his 10 worst. He had the league's second-lowest pressure-to-sack ratio (behind Brock Purdy), his pressure-to-interception ratio was third best, and he threw nine touchdowns when pressured (behind only Justin Herbert's 10) to just one interception. Sure, his completion percentage when pressured was 36.4 and surely drags down the overall number.

I don't believe that Caleb Williams told the Lion's defense to knock it off, that they're allowed to pick up 1st downs and run clock.
Still hiding behind innuendo and practicing the art of ommision.

PAMan won’t judge Caleb until there is a 1st team all pro pass blocker at every position.

That's completely untrue. I've said he has tons to work on, like accuracy on easy throws. I just understand that the OL is not as good at pass blocking as you claim it is. Since, you know, I acctually watch the games.

When someone else was QB all I heard about was how it’s the QBs job to elevate the team. Roster talent didn’t seem to matter. Now the talent and coaching is dramatically better, and you make excuses for him at every turn. You make it sound like every incompletion was just an impossible throw (from the guy with the generational arm).
