Gofs defensive coordinator, Joe Rossi, is staying home with a positive PCR test. With a game tomorrow, that is the only news worth printing in today's fishwrap.
From yesterday's fishwrap, not much compared to the normal amount of game previews.

Other than the turnovers, I thought Coran Taylor played fairly well. Was it good enough for the 'he gives us the best chance for a win' decision makers to get the start ?

He made some good plays. I was even more impressed given he probably hasn't had many (if any) reps with the 1st team offense in the past. Tough situation to be put in. He probably got (or should get) most of those reps during practice this week. If so, that would help with his development.

As for turnovers, well, MSU played very well against Rutgers opening week other than the 7 turnovers.

Taylor managed to look competent at times and completely inept at others. Not surprising given the lack of experience and reps. He turned the ball over but was really close to turning it over a lot more than he actually did. Purdue played really soft coverage once they got the big lead and also made a bunch of awful boneheaded mistakes down the stretch that allowed Illinois to stay in it. Minnesota hasn’t looked good but I bet they look a lot better tomorrow.

Competent at times and inept at times typifies the qb play under Lovie.
Hopefully the mistakes can be corrected, but I thought he showed a better arm than what I remember seeing from Williams or Robinson.
It's just 1 game to go off tho.

U-Verse is showing this one on an alternate BTN channel, so maybe 70-30 I actually get it.

Has a major conference football team ever finished a game with negative offensive yardage?

Just curious.

Last year was a fluke. We still suck. Worst Defense in the B10. So sick of this shit

INDIANA has a good football team now. INDYFUCKINANA. And how many coaches have we gone through and we STILL can't put together any type of program that can finish above .500

It took a series of miraculous events against MSU just to become bowl eligible.
