even if the deal was good, there was no reason to blow shit up for 2 months to get them.

A lot of small businesses will get nuked in this whole thing. They run on very tight time frames, inventory, and cash flow. The disruption to shipping from China has been worse than COVID. But that's ok, after they shut their business they can go on unemployment for a few years until the iPhone screwing factory opens.

Unless the whole point was to insider trade on the blowing up of shit.

actually a pretty good deal. The UK is a huge trading partner, 3% of US trade happens with the UK, but they had a massive 1% tariff on imported goods, Trump has gotten that knocked down to .75%

It's really quite impressive, frankly.

I thought Trump said a few weeks ago that trade talks with China were ongoing.  I guess not. Anyway, I'm fully prepared for an announcement of a "deal like nobody has ever seen".
