So yes that's true that 3/5 years they have finished ahead of UK, but over that span, BYU average final KP ranking is 37.2 and UK's is 26.8.

I think there's a reasonable chance Pope ends up as being a good hire, sometimes people figure it out when they have more resources etc.  But there'll be a lot of pressure, a lot of rebuilding to do, and he has no high-level success to point to really.  Certainly to go from Hurley/Drew/Wright/Donovan as your primary targets to getting a dude who's never won a tournament game is something, our fans would riot and we are not UK.

Good.  I'm glad we aren't in the position of hiring a coach and ending up with somebody like Mark Pope.  That's a positive for this program, which is why idiots and trolls take it as a negative.

They would NEVER have hired the guy who got smoked by the champs in the Elite 8, so instead they hired the guy who was in the same region but got upset again in the first round and has never won a tournament game.  Beautiful.

Good.  Our coach has a hell of a lot better resume than the guy they hired.  That's a good thing for us.

Meanwhile, while the bluest of blue blood targeted Hurley/Donovan/Drew/Wright and got Mark Pope, you still think it'd be fine if Underwood left.

I'm sure we'd do better though - how could we do worse than Underachiever after all?  He got smoked by UConn in the Elite 8!

I'm just glad we don't have morons like you running the program.  It's why we're nationally relevant again.
