Easily the worst played game this entire year by our ILLINI, disjointed, uninspired, lack of strength on boards/loose balls, lack of understanding that Young WANTS to go left for crying out loud.

Domask for all his offensive game today hurts us with some very bad forced throws to other players...mostly Marylands. He has been good this year to say the least but his turnovers were bad.

Hawkins regressed other than defense....really lost on offensive end imo

Guerrier no offense to speak of

Goode was only that way early

Harmon well, nothing to note

Dain played well for a few minutes, it was only that though.

Move on, regroup, but a golden opportunity was lost today...this one will sting later as well for us.

Maryland owns us. This dates back to even before they joined the conference.  No matter who the coaches or players are they always present a match up problem for us.

That being said you can’t give up 52 points in the paint. You can’t go 6/25 or whatever it was on layups and expect to win. Worst defensive effort of the year easily.

Have to wonder if the team was still feeling the effects of the Pizza Hut parking lot fight on Thursday. We just looked a step or two slow all game and then finally ran out of steam in the 2nd half.

This is exactly the game I worried about happening after Shannon's suspension just a few games later. Stomped in the 2nd half, shot like garbage, and a refusal to adjust and use a deeper bench.

Agree with all of this except that part about a deep bench...we don't have that, and at one time we thought we did.

Literally only Dainja off the bench, Harmon as well, not today, and then.........
