I specifically said I’d like to see him in a better offense so we can see how much of it is him, and how much of it isn’t. He’s never been in a plus, or even neutral situation.

Also not blessed with the most talent or coaching around him. But he did have ARob and Tarik. And a historically good defense giving him great field position. Pretty sure Pittsburgh had more offensive talent when he was there 3-4 years ago. He was benched about after 6 starts.  There also isn’t a GM in the league who’d take Trubisky over Fields I’m fairly certain.

They’re at home, and they have the guy I just heard referred to tonight as “the best player in football.” TJ Watt. I don’t expect a defense to be perfect every game or every drive, but if the offense gives you a 4 point lead late in the game at home, you need to hold it. Especially if you want to live up to your billing as “the best defense in football.”

Again, a favorable regular season schedule is not going to propel an obviously flawed and mediocre football team to the Super Bowl. That’s preposterous. You constantly want the GM fired for incompetence, yet also predict Super Bowl. This makes zero sense whatsoever.

Again, unlike you, I don’t expect even a good/outstanding defense to dominate every series, quarter, half, game. But I would expect a good/outstanding defense to make one hold when given a 4 point lead at home with 3 minutes left. Particularly when at home.

I think that’s an expectation pretty much any football fan, or even coach would have.
