Actually, my bad, he did not coach under Shanahan. He was in Washington after Shanahan left. Still worked with 3 of the very best, though.

I had heard someone reference mostly McVay.

Things could obviously always fail, but this is about as good a hire as the Bears could make on paper. He checks virtually every box.

2 years under Belichick. About 5-6 under McVay, and 3 with Carroll.
