I have no clue as have been only watching off and in when not on BTN+.

I do after tonights game dependent of course on nature of injury? Some can say what they will, but at least tonight and some of the last game, the kid had a flow going for us with sets and up tempo but under control. Would not shock me to see Rodgers go to the wing and us have a starting lineup of:

TSJ
Moretti
Rodgers
Domask
Dainja

Off bench

Hawkins
Guerrier
Goode
Hansberry
DGL

He is trusted ahead of both DGL and Moretti in rotation right now overall.

I can bet that in the stretch he will be in more vs an FAU or Tenn or Rutgers.

We have no great options. None of Rodgers, Harmon, DGL, or Moretti should be starting or playing major minutes anywhere in a power conference, but we have to play somebody out there whether we like it or not.

I guess this is good as any place to post this instead of starting a new thread but man our teams statistics this year are god awful.   This is after the Southern game.

We 54 for 93 from the foul line 58%
In 5 games we have shot 131 3 pointers only made 39. Good for 29%   :-\
And to cap it off we have 70 assists to 66 turnovers with just 1 player Terrance Shannon in averaging double figures through 5 games.

Agree with all of that, he is still just a bench guy. The ILLINI got passed over by alot of transfers this past year, yes they got some also, but that is the reason he is on our team. Any other P-5 team, he is just a bench guy, same as with us...he just gets more PT here.

So the shooting is not much difft than last year but the free shots are worse.
As LKDog has said repeatedly, roll the ball out and see what shakes is not a sound strategy.

We have a major problem with our halfcourt offense right now.
We can't shoot and we do not have any offensive flow.
Everything is east west. Except TSJ who just takes matters into his own hands.
 
They tried running the fucking weave faster last night. Oh boy.

Then TSj just said, fuck it- nobody can guard me and let's get this over with.
Yes. Dainja feasts on weaker low D1 teams.

UW is committed to playing Hawkins at the 5 because Dainja is much less effective vs decent bigs.


Our only real scoring threat is TSJ. Domask is not getting looks or being put in situations to score.
We have one guy averaging double figures.

Here is an interesting stat.

Harding from Iowa has played 40 minutes all year in 4 games.
Has 17 Assists.
That would lead Illinois.

TSJ is 12-33.

The rest of team is 13-65. 20%.
Guerrier is 1-16. He is playing very tight.
We are 249th in the country on 3P%.

Hopefully these new guys who are proven (Domask and Guerrier) settle in.

Amazingly Moretti looked decent even with stopping to service several cocks in his mouth along the way.
But, he is just a guy who can dribble and pass with his head up. We have such a low bar on this team.  ::)
If Moretti is not hurt seriously, he and DGL need to play more. Go with it.
End the Rodgers experiment.

yeah Rodgers is actually quite good at being a garbage man around the hoop, nothing more

he's extremely athletic but can't shoot or defend a PG so wtf is he bringing to the table at PG
