"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

1. That was a very good "learning game" for B1G season.
2. Hawkins and Dain have regressed, the latter being a noticeably worse player.
3. Particularly if Dain sucks Rodgers does more for us as a rotation forward than a lead guard. Run Shannon, DGL, Domask, Harmon, and see what happens.
4. Why is Harris redshirting when we're desperate for functional guards?

Marquette was the better team. Glad they are #5 and not #15 or #25. Definitely a step up from the illini but hopefully only a few of those teams out there.

We have a solid team but hopefully get more consistency out of our top guys.

Good Loss (if it's such a thing), Marquette will be highly ranked all year imo, at least if their lead guard can stay healthy.

Rodgers - C'mon you got to at least look for a layup when it's there
Shannon - Alpha Dog once again, serious All American this year
Goode - Career high for him, confidence builder?
Domask - Swiss Army type player but with better offense than most of these types, is he Swiss?
DGL - Not enough minutes to say yay or nay tonight
Hawkins - Well there is always somewhere to play next year...still think there is a possibility he doesn't finish the year with us? Vibes/attitude/tolerance is waning more every game imo
Dainja - Man what regression so far

Move on, we should stay ranked, but non conference will show us alot. Without any inside game to speak of at all, we will die with the 3's and we will not make it past game 1 ncaa tourney either. Next years team (transfers unknown at this point) will struggle greatly. Thats being polite.

I don't get why Brad keeps talking up Hawkins like he's a future Hall of Famer. He might give you decent defense at times but his offensive game and IQ haven't evolved one bit. Not to mention his body language is piss poor. Throws his hands up every time a call goes against him and hollers at his own teammates/coaches. If the longest tenured Underwood guy currently on the roster and one of the so-called leaders is exuding that kind of body language and underwhelming play then the team may as well be dead on arrival.

The book is out on how to guard Dain

1)Neutralize his go-to spin move
2)Hack the shit out of him and put him on the line (though that strategy isn't just Dain-specific when it comes to our free throw shooting)

You can’t have Rodgers out there as a lead guard. Period.

Use Domask and Shannon to be playmakers. Start Goode.   DGL is first guard off the bench. Rodgers is a backup undersized 4.

Can't have bad shooters like Rodgers, Hawkins and Guerrier on the floor together. Need to try a different starting 5 with either Goode or DGL replacing Rodgers.

Because Harris is not a functional guard. Needs to play in the secondary on football team.

Only thing I can think of with Hawkins is the somber reality that he isn't making the NBA has set in. Now he's that old guy on campus wondering WTF am I doing with my life, do I really want to go play bball in Israel or Turkey. This sucks.

Sadly, he isn't even the old guy on campus either, not good at that either.

If he's just now coming to this realization, he's dumber than you.

And, you can actually make a nice living playing overseas. It's better than selling insurance or used cars.

I’d one million percent be down with playing basketball in Italy or France.

Yeah I’d play basketball anywhere in the world for money for as long as I could if I had the opportunity…

I've always wondered what they make, I'm sure it varies quite a bit depending on how good you are and where you play; but I don't think I've ever found reliable info.
